UpListed publishes direct, sourced answers to the questions people ask when buying or selling a home.

Our standards

Answers aim to be credible, measurable, verifiable and local. Read what each standard means in practice.

How answers are written

Each answer opens with a short, direct response, then explains the reasoning, the local considerations and the sources behind it. Every answer includes first-hand experience from a licensed agent who works in the area it covers. Each page states where the answer applies, who is responsible for it and when it was last reviewed.

How agent recommendations work

When a question calls for professional help, the answer names an agent and says whether they are a potential fit as a buyer's agent or a listing agent, with the reasons for that situation. Sales are labeled by source, MLS records or the agent, and reviews link to the platform where they were posted. Relationships between UpListed and the agents it recommends are disclosed on the page, and recommendations are not paid placements.

Who is behind UpListed

UpListed was founded by Ken Sisson, a California real estate broker (DRE 01292247) focused on Studio City and Sherman Oaks. UpListed is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any brokerage. Ken Sisson provides real estate services through Christie's International Real Estate Southern California.

Coverage

UpListed begins with Los Angeles, starting in Studio City and Sherman Oaks, and adds U.S. markets as qualified local contributors join.

Fair housing

UpListed supports the Fair Housing Act. Answers describe properties, processes and markets, not the people who live in an area, and do not steer readers toward or away from any neighborhood.
