Privacy policy
This policy explains what information UpListed (https://uplisted.com) collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act and other applicable law.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact an expert through the site, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, and your message. We also record which page you were on so the expert has context for your question.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics services receive technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the site that referred you. Analytics may use cookies or similar technology.
How we use it
- To send your inquiry to the expert you contacted so they can respond and follow up.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- The expert you contact. Your inquiry goes to that expert and is stored in the customer relationship management system they use to respond.
- Service providers that host the site, store data, deliver email and provide analytics. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of others.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Do Not Track and tracking by other parties
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, and UpListed does not currently change its practices when it receives one. UpListed itself does not track you across other websites. Analytics providers we use may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites.
Reviewing, changing or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ken@uplisted.com. We will respond within 45 days. Some information may need to be kept for legal or record-keeping reasons, and we will tell you if that applies.
California residents
California residents have rights under state law, including the right to know what personal information a business collects and to request its deletion. The California Consumer Privacy Act applies to businesses that meet certain size thresholds. Whether or not it applies to UpListed, we honor the requests described above for any visitor.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and to maintain records of the conversation, and analytics data for as long as it is useful for understanding how the site is used.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or system is completely secure.
Children
UpListed is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we note it at the top of the page.
